My Seventh
But my first time in Denmark. We started off the week visiting all our clients in Denmark, this was a whistle stop tour, seeing all the prestigious universities and meeting the people and the interesting work they are doing.
The International Conference on Microbial Food and Feed Ingredients, started off with an interesting take on Yeast, locally made wine and cyder from the yeast used by the University of Copenhagen.
The Yeast was “active” and so was the wine that turned in to “sparkling wine” for the evening – this was a sign of things to come as the conference was just as lively, the abnormally good weather made this event outstanding, and it was all over too quickly. We spoke to what felt like almost every attendee, and towards the end of the trip we were thoroughly exhausted.
As luck would have it our flight was cancelled on the Saturday morning and rebooked for the evening, so we turned this into an opportunity to see some of the sights that Copenhagen had to offer. It truly was an eventful week.
