Daventry Town football club formed in 1886 has had a chequered history over its 139 years. From a devastating fire in 2005 which threatened the club’s future to an incredible cup run which saw over 700 fans travel to League 2 Chesterfield in 2014.The first team currently play in the United Counties League Premier Division South with the home ground being The Master Abrasives Stadium. 

In addition to the football, Daventry Town are an important part of the local community and run a foodbank from their Community Hub along with other community initiatives. The Community Hub supports over 450 local families and goes beyond addressing hunger by reducing food insecurity, offering emotional support, and creating new opportunities, it helps strengthen individuals and the wider community. Powered by donations from local supermarkets, businesses, and residents and delivered by a dedicated team of volunteers the Hub is a true community effort. We work closely with local support organisations and accept anonymous nominations to ensure help reaches those who need it most, always with dignity, discretion, and care.
